Welcome to the first AI-powered litigation finance firm.

Our mission is to help every small business get access to the justice system.

We use cutting-edge technology, data science, and court records to help plaintiffs get funded faster.

Legalist makes life easier for plaintiffs and their attorneys. We’ve funded dozens of cases. And we’re just getting started.

Our Story

The Legalist story began in a dorm room in 2016 when two Harvard undergraduates decided to embark on a project to make court records useful. After incubation in Y Combinator, Silicon Valley’s premier startup accelerator, Legalist launched as a litigation finance company that helps plaintiffs and attorneys fund their lawsuits. Legalist has raised from leading Silicon Valley investors such as Charlie Songhurst, Alexander Tamas, Refactor Capital, and Vy Capital. Read more about us in the news here.
